The 2nd annual Philumbus 500
This initiative all started with a simple idea and a complicated issue.
“Let’s talk about and crush the stigma around mental health and addiction.”
And although the story of SeaqHelp centers around one person, it has impacted millions.
That’s why one day in 2020 a 29 year old from Columbus texted his friend living in Philadelphia with what was proposed as a “potentially crazy idea.” We were to ride from Columbus to Philadelphia - roughly 500 miles (if you’re a heavy rounder-upper).
Spoiler alert - we did that shit, big time.
This accidental initiative was created by moderately athletic almost 30 year olds with no training yet raised over $5,500 during the height of a pandemic. As such, it would be irresponsible to not do it again. So, here we are.
With love in our hearts and shin splints in our legs, we’re at it again - this time with even more riders than last year!
Love,
SeaqHelp
